Tyrannosaurus Rex (Papo)

The Papo Tyrannosaurus Rex figure is a representation of the "Rexy" T-Rex from the Jurassic Park Movie. This figure captures the formidable presence and dynamic posture of this "movie Rex" showcasing its massive, muscular build and predatory stance. The figure is meticulously painted with a variety of hus of brown, reddish-brown and hints of black / grey to enhance its realistic appearance.

Articulated jaw really opens and closes showing sharp, menacing teeth. The figure is posed in a standing stance - which while not scientically accurate sure does look good. If you are looking for a Rexy model, while not officially licensed as such, this is a great representation.

Papo Tyrannosaurus Rex measures: 9" L x 6.5" H.

"Tyrannosaurus" means "tyrant lizard" and "Rex" is Latin for "King". Thus you have "Tyrant Lizard King" which is a great description! The Tyrannosaurus Rex was a bipedal dinosaur which had a long tail to counter balance its massive head. The most complete speciman measures 40 feet long! Although other theropods rivaled or exceeded Tyrannosaurus rex in size, it is still among the largest known land predators and is estimated to have exerted the strongest bite force among all terrestrial animals.

Tyrannosaurus is a genus of tyrannosaurid theropod dinosaur. The species Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the best represented of these large theropods. Tyrannosaurus lived throughout what is now western North America, on what was then an island continent known as Laramidia. Tyrannosaurus had a much wider range than other tyrannosaurids. Fossils are found in a variety of rock formations dating to the Maastrichtian age of the Upper Cretaceous period, 68 to 66 million years ago. It was the last known member of the tyrannosaurids and among the last non-avian dinosaurs to exist before the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event.
