Papo Chilesaurus Review:
The Papo Chilesaurus was introduced in late 2020. Currently, the Papo Chilesaurus is the only Chilesaurus model on the market. Papo did a great job on this Chilesaurus figure. The paint job is very nice - a good mix of brown and green with darker highlights on both. We really like the two sets of little spines on the back - one set on the shoulders - one set on the top of the base of the tail.

This figure does NOT have a moveable jaw - but the moth is slightly ajar. The manufacture picture overstates how open the mouth is - in reality, the mouth is barely open - the tongue is barely visible. We also really like the stance of this figure. With one of the front hands down, this figure looks fast and ready to run. The Papo Chilesaurus would make a great addition to your Papo dinosaur collection.

Chilesaurus Facts:
Chilesaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur. Chilesaurus lived about 145 million years ago in the Late Jurassic period of Chile. Chilesaurus measured roughly 11 ft from nose to tail. The most unusual feature of Chilesaurus is its spatula-shaped, elongated teeth, obliquely pointing forwards. Such dentition would be unique in the Theropoda, where it has sometimes been recovered, and is typical for a herbivore, indicating

Chilesaurus was a plant-eater. Another adaptation for eating plants is the backward-pointing pubic bone in the pelvis, making room for a large gut. Chilesaurus could defend itself with a strong arm, bearing a large first claw which could be extended outwards.
