Brachiosaurus is renowned for its unique anatomy, characterized by its long neck, which allowed it to reach vegetation high above the ground, and its relatively short hind limbs, which gave it a distinctive posture with its body held upright. It is estimated to have measured up to 85 feet in length and weighed as much as 50 tons.

Brachiosaurus was unusual in having longer front legs than back legs. This, together with a long and powerful neck gave it an advantage of height when searching for food.
